From #1 New York Times bestselling author Eric Metaxas comes a brilliant and inspiring biography of the most influential man in modern history, Martin Luther, in time for the 500th anniversary of the Reformation
On All Hallow’s Eve in 1517, a young monk named Martin Luther posted a document he hoped would spark an academic debate, but that instead ignited a conflagration that would forever destroy the world he knew. Five hundred years after Luther’s now famous Ninety-five Theses appeared, Eric Metaxas, acclaimed biographer of the bestselling Bonhoeffer: Pastor, Martyr, Prophet, Spy and Amazing Grace: William Wilberforce and the Heroic Campaign to End Slavery, paints a startling portrait of the wild figure whose adamantine faith cracked the edifice of Western Christendom and dragged medieval Europe into the future. Written in riveting prose and impeccably researched, Martin Luther tells the searing tale of a humble man who, by bringing ugly truths to the highest seats of power, caused the explosion whose sound is still ringing in our ears. Luther’s monumental faith and courage gave birth to the ideals of liberty, equality, and individualism that today lie at the heart of all modern life.

3 gigs!?!?! Ye Gods!

Appreciate the upload, but at 2.74GB I’ll pass.
Looks interesting, tho the claim “the most influential man in modern history” is a stretch.

Martin Luther!!! … a precursor of the personality cult and godlike determinism that still afflicts our societies until now. A blueprint of Marxists and modern day socialists.

I downloaded only part 1 of 16 and sadly it is not a very good recoding with unecessary high bitrate of 320 kbps. It sounds like a recording of a playing book on a computer. Also some strange audio artefacts are present and parts are cut in middle of chapters.

I found the audio quality no problem. But yeah, I converted it down from the crazy 320kpbs to something much lower when putting it on a cheap mp3 player of mine.
Still, thanks for the upload as I haven’t seen this 2017 book elsewhere yet.

There is indeed a strange overlap of a few seconds between the end of one sentence and the start of a new chapter or section — as if something might have been cut out or elided. I compared the audio to the book version and in a couple places I checked, nothing is missing.
All good as far as I see.
Just that at 320kbps and 2.7GB, it might be hard to keep this seeded a long time.

Anything on his last & probably most important work in here that is omitted from most other books about him?
I thought not.
