@Caesar963, he had already played the sexism card by announcing he was going to have a female running mate, so he was a bit locked in to have changed that.
However, were he smart, he would have chosen a moderate, not the left most voting woman in his short list. Duh, it’s a bit obvious he chose Kamela for her skin color. She’s a poor speaker, she skewered him in the democratic debates. Worse yet, she brings nothing to the table. He already had 4 times the polling vote in the black community, and California would only vote Republican after hell froze over.
Were he smart, he could have gone with other candidates, I would have chosen Tulsa Gabbard. She’s a moderate, a Representative, and the only down side or up side depending on how you want to look at it is of all the Democratic candidates running, she showed integrity by not voting either way to impeach Trump.
There’s a lot of Republicans that would vote for anyone but Trump if they were given a good candidate, and while Biden isn’t that person, his VP could have been.
Having one of the 4 people on the 2 tickets showing a modicum of integrity would have been rather novel experience.

@pryderi, even if Trump loses, I think you’ll be just as disappointed as the “Lock Her Up” crowd was when Trump said he wasn’t going to prosecute Hillary.
Imagine the s..tstorm that would occur if Washington actually prosecuted the Senators and Reps. that committed crimes. The governors of each state would soon be having to chose pre-school kids to represent their states.
Although, that might not be such a bad thing, they certainly couldn’t do any worse of a job than the US Congress.

The DNC is so desperate to take control of the White House again, they would nominate a fence post. Well, they pretty much did with Biden, although he’s not quite that sturdy, more like a piece of grass that bends to every breeze.
The only thing Sleepy Joe has going for him is his competition makes an ass out of himself every time he speaks.
While we probably won’t see debates this year as Pelosi and many other Dems are telling Biden not to do it, they would have been fun to watch. Ole’ Joe would get even more flustered than Hillary did with Trump’s style, and he’d forget what he was supposed to say.
The VP debates which normally are a yawn fest would be entertaining too. Pence versus Harris, talk about a mismatch! Pence’s style is smooth, he’s a good speaker. He doesn’t need Trump’s antics to make a point. Kamala’s not in his league as demonstrated by her acceptance speech.
