  @bengle_moody - Bengal’s peoples had serious problems long before Winston Churchill was voted in. From my knowledge of history Bengal and her neighbors had been at war with one another for centuries on and off. So why didn’t Bengal’s “leaders” forge peace with neighbors?

  It’s too intellectually lazy to point fingers and blame Britain / the US / “colonialism” etc.

  Devote some of your time to honest research.

  @spaniel1 Right! Do some honest research. Like Madhusree Mukerjee did when she wrote Churchill’s Secret War: The British Empire and the Ravaging of India during World War II.

  Churchill’s (or any other human’s) life can never just be sunshine and rainbow. A human life is multi-faceted and shows a different side of his character and behavior when seen in different light and at a new angle.

  Firstly: this isn’t a book. It’s a class by TMS, which is sort of like an older and more conservative version of TGC.

  Secondly: people don’t read audiobooks, they listen to them.

  Thirdly: life is tough, mammals fight and starve and not everybody gets to survive.

  Fourthly: don’t let any of this distract you from the fact that Nazis were mean baddies.

  Fifthly: it was really America that singly handedly won WWII.
