There is no denying Hitler came into power at the right place at the right time. He exploited the depression that the Country was going through and he masterfully gave the common people of Germany what they wanted: BREAD. Just look at the Propaganda films of his henchmen passing out loaves of bread.
There is also no denying his abilities as an orator. People were mesmerized by his speeches, and were willing to follow him into hell…which they did.

All the good books about Hitler and Nazis have already been written. The attempt in this one, to focus on “charisma” is dubious to say the least and ignores a host of other reasons that contributed to this mass hysteria.

Looks interesting. Hitler’s Monsters by Eric Kurlander, touched on the belief that Hitler was a sort of channeler, as he became someone completely different when giving speeches. It was said that he was absolutely mesmerizing. In private, he was said to have been a completely different person.
