Conversations with RBG is a remarkable and unique audiobook, an informal portrait of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, drawing on a series of her conversations with Jeffrey Rosen, starting in the 1990s and continuing through the Trump era. Rosen, a veteran legal journalist, scholar, and president of the National Constitution Center, shares with us the justice’s observations on a variety of topics, and her intellect, compassion, sense of humor, and humanity shine through. The affection they have for each other as friends is apparent in their banter and in their shared love for the Constitution and for opera.
With Justice Ginsburg’s approval, Rosen has collected her wisdom from their many conversations in which she discusses the future of the Supreme Court and Roe v. Wade, her favorite dissents, the cases she would most like to see overruled, the #MeToo movement, how to be a good listener, how to lead a productive and compassionate life. These frank exchanges illuminate the steely determination, self-mastery, and wit that have inspired women and men of all ages to embrace the “Notorious RBG.”
Whatever the topic, Justice Ginsburg always has something interesting - and often surprising - to say. And while few of us will ever have the opportunity to chat with her face-to-face, Jeffrey Rosen brings us by her side as never before. Conversations with RBG is a deeply felt portrait of an American hero.

R.I.P Queen. Hope republicans aren’t hypocrites and let trump appoint a judge.

Repuclicans: Noooo!! You can’t cheer Rush Limbaugh getting cancer!!
Also Republicans: RBG dead yay!

It used to be poor form to express joy at the illness or death of anyone. Folks now appear to have full access, and give free rein, to their partisan darkness.

Sadly, one should never underestimate the bottomless pit that is GOP hypocrisy in the Trump era. They used to have principles; this year, they couldn’t even manage a platform.

Also, RIP, RBG. One need not have always liked her legal opinions (god knows I didn’t) to see she was a woman of character.

Well, here the country stands - hoping to maintain some integrity at the brink by relying on Collins, Murkowski, and Romney.
Had a chance to speak with RGB once, and while I didn’t agree with her response, nevertheless have a great deal of respect for the integrity with which she lived her life and the work she did.
She will truly be missed.

May this great lady rest in peace. A sad news for the good Americans who didn’t deserve this very #45.

RIP, RBG. The next few weeks will suck even more: the animalistic scramble to replace her with another Trumpster.

I think Trump won’t nominate anyone before the election and just use it to energyze republican voters. He doesn’t care about GOP, he cares only about himself.

RB who?
Say hello to Justice Cruz, baby!

A nice way to remember her and her contributions to American society in stark contrast to the sickness that afflicts the minds of some commentators

RIP. Now let’s appoint someone that is a Constitutionalist, not someone who legislates from the Bench.
Ginsburg believed
The Constitution is a “living” document
That judges “do and must legislate”
Made public comments about issues coming before the Supreme Court.
Supported late term abortion
With her great legal mind she could have been a instrument for equality. Instead she was at times biased, prejudicial and discriminatory

Bravo apollo60, judges that are political appointments of convenience, who then appoint themselves unelected legislators, are a threat to the democratic republic.

A great American patriot: we can be sure that few of her colleagues will be remembered as fondly, or at all.
But I can see that the GOP needs to find her replacement ASAP: they are going to be out of office for a very long time.

SAD SAD day .. R.I.P RGB.

I am amazed by how deeply her death is being taken. Reminds me of Lady Diana. I can understand being concerned with the court’s direction and appointment, but personally caring seems overblown. Maybe if it happened with a Dem President people wouldn’t care so much.
