Ignore the title, this book has nothing to do with Jo Brand ‘being fat’. I suspect the title was slapped on by publishers looking for a pun. Instead it’s all about her rebellious teens, dabbling with drink and drugs, her fractious relationship with her family and her career as a psychiatric nurse. If you like Jo’s personality and wit it’s a good listen. And if you don’t like her, it’s still a good listen…probably.
