Interesting to ponder what specific species of balance is being sought in an evaluation of the deeds of “the head of the feared SS, (who) supervised the extermination of millions.” An unqualified hagiography, p’haps.

@square99 Aside from practically eliminating unemployment, building the autobahn network, ensuring decent wages, providing generous pensions, free healthcare, free schooling for the young, restoring national pride, clearing out the moral cesspit of the Weimar era, crushing the capitalist explorations, bringing the stockmarket profiteers to heel, banning usury, nationalising the banks and all other critical national industry.
Asides from that they did absolutely nothing.
Inb4 gweilo going reeeeeeeeeeeeeee, look up the 1933 Havara agreement.

another black&white, cartoonish portrayal of nazis as absolutely evil, as if Hollywood movies haven’t done enough harm, if we’re tolerant and welcoming all voices, we need to embrace all views including Nazis, once you actually look into what they were saying and doing, a very different and unexpected picture emerges and I’m sure Himmler was no different.
