“When I despair, I remember that all through history the way of truth and love has always won. There have been tyrants and murderers and for a time they seem invincible, but in the end, they always fall - think of it, always.”
–Gandhi
In 1999, this book was designated as one of the “100 Most Important Spiritual Books of the Twentieth Century” by HarperCollins Publishers.
A holy man to Hindus, a hero to Muslims, and a criminal to the British, Mohandas K. Gandhi was an inspiring figure of the 20th century, a man whose quest to live in accord with God’s highest truth led him to initiate massive campaigns against racism, violence, and colonialism.
From his youthful rebellion against vegetarianism, to his successful law practice in South Africa, his struggle with his own sexual excesses, and his leadership of the movement to free India from British rule, Gandhi describes the story of his life as a series of spiritual “experiments” and explains how he developed his concept of active nonviolent resistance, which propelled the Indian struggle for independence and inspired countless other nonviolent struggles.

Thank you. I only just became aware that this existed.
Looking forward to listening to one of my heroes own words. :D

Yes it is nice to know the Mega Rich Kids like Mahatma Gandhi, remembered their are poor people. I think pretending to be poor and masquarading as a poor person was not an honest thing to do. But hey, it allowed the masses to be gulable enough to believe he was a poor man fighting the Rich, rather than a Rich man exploiting the poor.
Remember there is often two sides to a story. A rich lawyer educated in a private school in London dresses as up a poor man and excites the poor to rise up and support him. No doubt this truth will anger many. But truth it is!!

Gandhi trained in the law at the Inner Temple in London, and was called to the bar in June 1891, at the age of 22. After two uncertain years in India, where he was unable to start a successful law practice, he moved to South Africa. Sorry if the facts hurt!

Gandhi adopted the short dhoti woven with hand-spun yarn as a mark of identification with India’s rural poor.
Note. That he wore expensive suits etc prior to realising that adapting the dhoti and acting poor made him look like one of the exploited. Sorry if the facts hurt!
I believe the truth is important. Gandi was a trouble maker and caused untold riots for his own end. The British rightfully deemed this a criminal act. An act that America upholds as does every other democracy.
EVENTUALLY Gahdi went to a country that was oppressive to it’s people. South Africa. A country all ready under attack for it’s attitude.
Ghandi is not a saint. He was a rich, well educated criminal always looking to expand his wealth. Sorry if the facts hurt!
Maybe I should Lie - Ghandi farts Rainbows! There hope that make everyone happy

Gandhi wrote “To bring about such a state of things we should have the ability to defend ourselves, that is, the ability to bear arms and to use them… If we want to learn the use of arms with the greatest possible despatch, it is our duty to enlist ourselves in the army.”
Yep the true words of Ghandi. They sure support the later case we are all told. How he developed his concept of active nonviolent resistance - Just fails to mention at the point of a gun.
The british were wise to concider him a criminal - AT THAT TIME.

Gandhi later, much later started to wear a loin cloth when he found out some of the poor couldn’t afford a dhoti - WOW - He even started to spin his own Wool! Wow as if the poor had the time for such things?
Take one good lesson from Ghandi’s life. From his Rich Upbringing, His Kings College London education, His dismay at the poor quality London Resaurants, to His Law degree from at the Inner Temple in London etc. The lesson is this:-
Only the rich can afford to be poor. The poor can’t afford to be poor, they just have to try an endure it. …..
It’s sad when the Mega Rich pretend to be poor to con those with nothing into supporting them…
