I’m all for different lifestyle choices and opinions but this sicko promotes paedophilia ,he was fired from his job at Breitbart as a result and had this book deal revoked.I don’t think his book should be here and advise the individual that posted it to take it down.

> I’m all for different lifestyle choices and opinions, but…
That “but” clearly indicates that you are only for those “different lifestyle choices and opinions” you personally agree with, or indifferent to - apparently not including this particular author and book.
Taking down books you happen to dislike (or advocating for such an action) is called “censorship” and “book burning”, a typical behavior of people with tyrannical mindset who cannot win a fair fight on the field of ideas, so they resort to “winning by other means”.

alnilam - You are supporting paedo rape - you do realise that right?
September 8th, 2018
@loonyboyx
I am not supporting anyone - I am defending peoples right to read books of their own choosing, and opposing those who want to decide arbitrarily which books are ok for others to read, and which are not.

Lay off the gossip sites and learn about Milo. He was a victim of a priest as a young man and wrote about and outed pedos in the UK press.
Amazing how the tolerant ones are the first to ban and silence what they cannot tolerate. The way I see it there is a lot of projection going on.
Milo Yiannopoulos may well be the next Christopher Hitchens.

Ugh, Christopher Hitchens - I just got a bit sick. Someone very cruelly referred to Hitchens as the “the hero of the zeroes”.

@meluchie ‘lay off the gossip sites and learn about Milo’
I’m well acquainted with Milo and I’m against the current trend of shouting down and boycotting the so called Alt right ,however I draw the line at people that promote paedophile, which he patently does. it’s interesting that even his most ardent supporters have washed their hands of him and regard him as ‘beyond the pale.
Milo’s former manager Tim Treadstone said (and I quote)’I am Milo’s former manager I have defended him for standing up for free speech on many occasions’. ‘But I cannot defend Milo anymore’.

…I’ve never been impressed with Yiannopoulos. His penchant for what is vulgar has always turned me off. As is the case with a foul-mouthed musician or comedian, if you have to resort to regular use of cursing and crude sexual references to make your point, I’m just not going to pay attention.
…Yes, Yiannopoulos has boldly taken a stand for free speech and bravely confronted the ignorant, safe space-seeking “End of Discussion” mob that dominates U.S. campuses. However, he’s done so devoid of “morality and religion” and with few “civil and social manners.”
…Yiannopoulos is not equipped nor qualified to be a spokesman for the conservative cause. He never was. He was always a spokesman for his own cause, his own cult, and even before his foray into pederasty-promoting, his cult never had very much to do with anything resembling conservatism.
The above mentioned M.Y. related quotes are not mine - I just happen to agree with them. Still, to agree or disagree with a person or his ideas is one thing, and taking down or burning his books is quite another.

@alnilam
You continue to miss the point. This isn’t about book burning and free speech its about paedophilia and child abuse. End of. I believe there’s a universal agreement (irrespective of ideology or creed) that abuse of the innocents is a step to far. I’m aware there is a small minority (of which you seem to belong) that believes child abusers should be heard, though I doubt this is an opinion you’d champion on any platform other than the internet. Anonymity emboldens the obscene…

Really? I do not think so. As I recall, it was your idea to “take this book down”, based on your negative feelings toward this author or this book or whatever. I already made it clear that I am not a fan of the author, and I also find some of his ideas and manners reprehensible. You dislike the idea of pedophilia, and I dislike it too. But still, it is not up to you and not up to me to decide that this or that particular book should be “turned down”, or burnt, or annihilated by some other means - as long as it does not violate the existing laws, which allowed it to be published in the first place. Those who start burning books, under whatever rationalization or pretense, quickly end up burning people, it’s as simple as that.

You seem to be suffering from selective amnesia. If you care to scroll up on the HYS you’ll see my ‘first comment’ regarding Milo’s tome was in relation to his sexual preferences (raping children). This was confirmed by @loonyboyx who said your reply to my comment was supporting peado rape….you do realise that. At no time did I condemn Milo for anything but being pro child rape. Which somehow seems to offend you.Hmm…

bookpimping - “I think this book should be taken down”
alnilam - “Stop advocating book burning, people have the right to have an opinion so SHUT UP!”
Me - “lol”

This is like Pandora’s Box. If we apply the ban strictly we would have to, in some manner, limit access, or even destroy, works by Plato (plus many other Greek philosophers, playwrights, artists, writers, etc.), Lewis Carroll, Micheal Jackson, and as artists such as David Bowie, Mick Jagger, Freddie Mercury, etc. certainly had sexual relations with underage girls and boys, their work must also go. Many Hollywood productions would have to be struck down due to direct involvement, or complicity, in acts of paedophilia.
There are innumerable instances, between us we’d never be able to compile a comprehensive list.
Even more controversially, as marriage to a minor is included in the hypothetically proscribed category, a very major and foundational religious text, which forms the basis of one of the largest monotheistic faiths would have to be banned. Good luck with that one.
And the internet, the net as a resource might have to go.
We don’t seem to have a genuine societal and cultural will to address these disturbing issues.

Incidentally, you guys are making some very good points, but you can do that without condemning each other!

Great book. Listen and learn.

By the definitions/reasoning some people are suggesting here, Elvis Presley’s & Jerry Lee Lewis’s music should be banned from the radio/CDs/TV etc. .
Also any other media, books, movies etc featuring them should henceforth be locked away, never to be heard/read/seen again.
It may have been “legal” at the time where they lived, but by todays standards they both married & had sexual relations with children.
They were both “technically” paedophiles, Lewis’s marriage was even incestuous.!!
Also I believe Chuck Berry served 2 years in prison for having relations with a 14 year old girl.
Speaking as an Abuse Survivor myself, my opinion is that unless the book/media/movie etc is actually, explicitly advocating, endorsing or showing paedophilia, then it’s fine.. We don’t have the right to censor it.
Even then, legally it’s a tricky thing.. Is it illegal to talk about it, or only if there’s actual imagery.?
By all means make people aware of the authors views/behaviour.
But beyond that, just shut up & leave it alone.
Personally I can’t stand that Milo guy, I think he’s disgusting… But that’s just my opinion.
I’d rather he didn’t exist, but he does, so that means he’s afforded the same rights as people that I do like.
Also, just incase there’s any doubt, paedophiles are a despicable scourge on society & a hell of a lot more needs to be done to raise awareness & address it.!

I love how the argument here is whether this should be listed, therefore supporting him. I mean, I can’t stand Milo but kinda happy this is here, because eveyrone who likes him who downloads it deprives him of income.

I know no safe depository of the ultimate powers of the society but the people themselves; and if we think them not enlightened enough to exercise their control with a wholesome discretion, the remedy is not to take it from them but to inform their discretion.
—Thomas Jefferson
It seems to me that most commenters here belong to one of two distinct opposing camps - (1) whose who propose “take away” remedy (censorship, burning books), and (2) whose who propose “inform their discretion” remedy (let people read, think and decide for themselves).

Thank you very much for this audiobook, I see people try to silence him everywhere, and here is not the exception. It´s obvious that he does not defend child rape, that´s absurd. That´s what they are trying to bother him with. They cannot say he is a nazi, cause he is a jew, nor an homophobic, cause he is gay… he is genius and he will make you think.
It´s really worth a listen.

I can’t see how your position is any different from book burning. What must happen in a person’s life to think as you do. If anyone with a semblance of power had your views, it would be dangerous dude.

Thanks for posting this, Wanted to read every since I learned the left libertards tried to ban this book and repress him.
