From the outside, I have to say that the US looks ‘faked’.
The virus exposes the weakness of a system that has a huge percentage of it’s lowest paid unable to have funds to deal with an unexpected bill of $200 and the triggered response from the rednecks above show you can’t cope with, as loonybox says,” a black man being in charge of white people”.
Good luck folks, some of you I know can see the problems, but I thank my lucky stars for being born in a place where political discussion is still possible across the divide and there is much less inequity in society. But hey, keep drinking the Kool-aid - it does give the rest of the world some amusement in these difficult times, and knowledge we could be worse off …

Ok, it’s a short children’s book, so you really can’t expect much from it, but to say Obama was the first black American President….
Here’s a few facts that they won’t include:
During his first campaign, Obama actually downplayed the fact that he was black, often commenting on the fact his mother was white and how he had exposure to both worlds. It wasn’t until he was in office, the he expressed himself as the first “black” President.
Nor will it mention the fact Obama did give $1.6 billion dollars to Iran, a country that screams death to America at every opportunity, and is one of the world’s largest sponsor of terrorism. Yes, the funds returned was originally Iranian money, however it was seized because “Iranian students” took the US embassy in 1979, and the new Iranian government allowed those “students” to hold 52 Americans hostage for 444 days. And they were only released because Ronald Reagan had promised to bomb Iran if they didn’t release the hostages.
It also won’t mention the fact that his much vaunted Obamacare program was a complete sham. Where he knowing pushed legislation that not only cost the middle class 3-4 times the amount in increased insurance premiums, but also raised the deductibles while lower benefits.
It may mention that he was President while Usama Bin Laden was captured/killed after 10 years. What it won’t mention is the fact that the U.S. knew that Usama’s compound was in Pakistan for over a year before it was raided. Nor will it mention that it was the first and only time that a military action was taken, where the President of the U.S. was shown watching the action take place, because that’s very “Presidential”.
Yes, he often pointed out the racial divide that exists in this country. However, one can certainly question, why as an intelligent individual that instead of throwing all his support behind groups like Black Lives Matter he didn’t reframe the message to ALL LIVES MATTER.
Now I’m actually pretty opened minded when it comes to someone’s sexuality, because I believe whatever consenting adults do in the privacy of their own home is their business, but a Executive Order required schools to allow transgender students to use the bath/locker rooms of their preference in order to receive federal aid was a bit much.
And finally, I have no problem of a President showing support for their party’s candidate, speeches, and even attending their national convention is fine. However, joining them on the campaign trail, flying them around in Air Force One, and having his wife and his Vice President (Biden) campaign for Hillary, was using tax payer money inappropriately.
None of those things are going to appear in this children’s book. Which is too bad, because we’re afraid to show that even Presidents are deeply flawed.

What an outrage!
How dare a book about a man’s life up until he was elected president be written by a person who was in his party and knew him well. What a scandal that a twenty minute children’s book about Obama’s life before the presidency doesn’t feature detailed breakdowns of his policies towards Iran and domestic health when he was in office. What an oversight that an introductory text for seven-year-olds doesn’t cover allegations against two other men that aren’t the subject of the book.
