Aleister Crowley - Diary of a Drug Fiend
When Sir Peter Pendragon, a retired pilot of the Great War, meets the free-spirited Louise, a devotee of the mysterious occultist Basil King Lamus, the two immediately get married and set off across Europe, on a drug-fueled honeymoon of heroin and cocaine. Eventually, in an attempt to break free of their recently acquired habit, the newlyweds find their way to the Abbey of Thelema in Italy, where the adults perform invocations to the sun and the children freely recite passages from the Book of the Law. At the guiding hand of King Lamus, the sisters of the Abbey maintain magical diaries, practice strange rituals, and pursue their true will. But what will become of Peter and Lou?

Aleister Crowley - The Book of Lies
The Book of Lies, or Liber 333, is a holy book in the Western occult tradition of Thelema, consisting of 91 short chapters of poems, aphorisms, rituals, and metaphysics. This recording is of the original 1913 publication, and thus omits the further commentaries added by Crowley for subsequent additions. Those familiar with Crowley’s hermetic writings will recognize his subversive and playful style. Beneath the layers of symbolism, contradiction, and blasphemy lies a biting critique of the puritanical social, political, and religious values of the author’s generation.

Aleister Crowley - The Book of the Law
The Book of the Law is the foundational text of Thelema. It was written down as it was dictated to Aleister Crowley over three days in April 1904.

Charles River Editors - Aleister Crowley: The Life and Legacy of the Notorious Cult Leader and Novelist
“What a piece of work is a man! how noble in reason! how infinite in faculty! in form and moving how express and admirable! in action how like an angel! in apprehension how like a god! the beauty of the world! the paragon of animals!” (William Shakespeare, Hamlet)
Any work about the mercurial Aleister Crowley is better off being labeled a “story” than a “biography” thanks to the impossibility of being sure that anything one reads about him is true. The basic recorded facts, including birth date, educational records, and published works, are reliable indicators that can be likened to stars guiding a lost desert traveler if the sky is clear. For the rest, one is wandering in the wilderness. He has been labeled a Satanist, a sociopath, a drug addict, a murderer, and, not to put too fine a point on it, “the wickedest man on earth” by several prominent newspapers. He has also been hailed as the prophet of the New Age charged with bringing about the spiritual awakening of humanity, a brilliant writer, an intrepid mountaineer, a heroic MI6/MI5 agent, and a gifted magician. He even launched his own religion, called Thelema, which persists to this day.
As such, a story about Aleister Crowley must include a time line of important events in his life, at least as accurately as possible, while examining the several characteristics and aspects of his life and work that make him so influential. Once reviled and discarded by all but his most fervent followers, Crowley’s writings reemerged as the subject of serious scholarship in the 1990s.
Aleister Crowley: The Life and Legacy of the Notorious Cult Leader and Novelist profiles one of the 20th century’s most colorful and controversial figures. Along with pictures of important people, places, and events, you will learn about Crowley like never before.

Steven Ashe - Aleister Crowley: Man, Myth & Magick
Ask almost anyone their view on Aleister Crowley and opinions will polarize: he was a genius; a psychopath; a drug-riddled sex maniac; a champion of sexual freedom against the restrictions of Victorian prudery and hypocrisy; he was a secret agent; a lost-soul poet; a playboy with little better to do than dabble in magic; a lifestyle imitator of Oscar Wilde and Richard Burton; a drug addict; a narcissistic sadist; a visionary artist.
Few commentators are qualified to critique Crowley’s esoteric motivations and ambitions and most simply dismiss him as a black magician who had fallen from the path. But if he did fall, why? Exactly where did he imagine the path led in the first place? And how far did he actually succeed in his life-long mission to overthrow the established order and herald a new age of magick? Ashe thinks he knows and has written a narrative that presents a lively biography from the perspective of understanding Crowley’s roots in the magic of the Order of the Golden Dawn.
Crowley was not the first of the great English magicians and certainly will not be the last. This work has been written for the general audience with a simple elegance, but has enough surprises to delight the most hackneyed Crowley expert.

Wow. Just wow. I wasn’t expecting this.. or I was expecting this. The synchronicities are piling up lately. All it took was for me to start reading RA Wilson again, which had me longing for Crowley in audio format. I think I subconsciously did some magick and made the books appear :) I was just pricing The Eye In The Triangle by Israel Regarsdie last night. I wish that was in audio format. If this keeps up, it already is and will be uploaded soon. I really appreciate this upload. thank you.
